Why It Matters

Template problems are often rig problems in disguise. A missing plugin, stale engine, or mismatched update can make a track look like a metadata problem when the real issue is the environment.

What To Check

Use Software as a supporting surface when a template does not behave as expected.

  • Installed software and version clues.
  • Update status.
  • Rig inventory notes that may explain scan or patch differences.
