Bridge Troubleshooting
Most bridge issues are stale Cubase state, the wrong project window, missing MIDI Remote setup, or a bridge process that needs a clean refresh.
Common Symptoms
The bridge can fail partially. Live rows might load while selection does not work, or selection might work while route application refuses to proceed.
- Live Session is empty even though Cubase is open.
- Clicking a live row does not select the Cubase track.
- Auto Route previews nothing or refuses expected tracks.
- Cubase plays an alert sound after a command.
Recovery Pass
Use the smallest recovery path first. Reloading everything is slower and makes it harder to know what fixed the problem.
Confirm the intended Cubase project window is frontmost.
Use Refresh in Live Session.
Select a simple visible track in Cubase and refresh again.
If rows still do not update, restart OrcheStruct.
If commands still do not reach Cubase, check the MIDI Remote script and virtual MIDI/IAC setup.
When To Stop
Stop before applying route or write-back actions if selection cannot be verified. If OrcheStruct cannot prove it is talking to the expected Cubase session, keep the workflow read-only until the bridge is repaired.
