Connect Cubase to OrcheStruct

Cubase live control depends on the OrcheStruct bridge pieces being installed and the correct Cubase project being open.

What The Bridge Enables

The bridge lets OrcheStruct read the current Cubase session, select or reveal tracks, capture patch clues, and apply approved route plans. File scanning can still be useful without live bridge control, but Live Session needs Cubase communication.

Setup Checklist

Start simple. Open Cubase, load a known project, then open OrcheStruct. Avoid testing against an unsaved experimental project until the bridge is confirmed.

  1. Install the OrcheStruct Cubase MIDI Remote script for the current app build.

  2. Enable the virtual MIDI/IAC path required by the bridge.

  3. Open the Cubase project you want OrcheStruct to inspect.

  4. Open OrcheStruct and go to Tracks, then Live Session.

  5. Use Refresh to confirm live rows appear.

First Confirmation Test

After setup, choose one harmless track in Cubase and confirm OrcheStruct can see it in Live Session. Then click a row in Live Session and verify Cubase activates/selects or reveals the expected track.
